The Women in Law committee is a dynamic group. The committee meets regularly to assess and address issues of particular interest or concern to Wellington women lawyers.
Seminars on topics as diverse as sexual harassment, paid parental leave and career planning have been organised in recent years. All practitioners are welcome at these seminars, and they attract a diverse audience.
Suggestions as to seminar topics, or activities (and assistance!) are very welcome.
The committee liaises with the Wellington Women's Lawyers Association and the Women's Consultative Group (of the NZLS) as appropriate.
The committee is planning an evening panel discussion for later in the year on having a career and a life outside work. Further details will be posted.
